You can take back turns using the Undo Turn command, although this is considered cheating.

If allow undoing turns is checked, selecting Undo Turn from the Edit menu will restore the game to the way it was at the beginning of the previous turn. You can take back as many turns as you would like, back to the beginning of the game. You can also choose Redo Turn to restore a turn you have taken.
